Tenders are invited for Developing Recommendations and an Advocacy Plan for Improvement of Policies and Legal Framework that Secure Community Rights to access, use and manage mangrove areas in Mozambique, The World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is one of the world's leading independent nature conservation organisations, with over 5 million supporters and active on five continents in over 100 countries including Mozambique. In Mozambique, WWF has been working since 2001, and is currently implementing its second strategic plan (2020-2030), whose goal is to influence and ensure sound management and responsible stewardship and use of Mozambique-s unique biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations, being anchored around three pillars: i) inclusive conservation of habitats and species; ii) sustainable and equitable livelihoods; and iii) greening the footprint of economic development. For the current strategy six sites have been prioritized to be the focus of the vast majority of the conservation work, identified on the basis of their biodiversity significance, the importance of their natural resources to livelihoods and national economic development, and their existing and potential threats to biodiversity and therefore the urgency of conservation action, which includes the Primeiras and Segundas Environmental Protection Area (PSEPA), Inhambane Seascape, Lake Niassa and Lichinga Plateau (LNLP), the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTCA), Quirimbas Biosphere Reserve (QBR) and Zambezi Delta.
